The Last Post for the New Market Bucks Baseball 2008 Blog

I'm writing this last post for the blog. I have really enjoyed keeping this website/blog updated. It has been fun getting reactions from the parents, players, family and friends. I hope everyone has enjoyed reading it as much as I have writing it. I want to say to all the players... You guys are great. I have had so much fun watching you play ball, practice, cut up and grow as ball players. To the coaches it has been an experience that I won't forget. To the parents, thanks for getting behind our boys and letting them play ball. Without your support, they would probably have been playing on the XBOX every night instead of getting out and playing some real sports.

What can you say about the season....Probably not what the kids had hoped for, but instead of quitting, they held their heads up and played hard all the way to the end.

I've tried to not be partial to my son on this blog...but I want to let him know how proud I am of him. He has never played any organized baseball in his 10 years, but I believe as a 1st year catcher in a 11 year old league he played his heart out. I hope he has many more seasons of ball so I can watch him grow in the sport. He'll be back next year and he will be a catching machine. I know Tony.... he isn't Dillon.... But I wonder how many seasons it took him to get to be the phenom he is. Just wait and see next year.... Josh never missed a practice and loves playing catcher. I will be getting him some training and working with him myself during the off season. Franco...get your camp up and running.

Please everyone....send me your email addresses at James_Stovall@bellsouth.net or call me with your phone numbers at 509-4897 so we can keep in touch.

So Farewell to all and Go Bucks.....

Bucks Season Ends In A Close Battle

The Bucks rallied back after the Meridianville Vikings got a 0-7 lead to score 4 points in the 3rd inning and holding the Vikings to one point to make it 4-8. The Bucks came back in the 4th inning to score 5 points to make the score 9-8. All they had to do was hold the Vikings from scoring any runs, but the Vikings are a tough baseball team and they scored two runs to end the Bucks season.

The Bucks Keep It Alive In A Close One!

The mighty Bucks pulled it of in a close game against the Hazel Green Cobras. The Bucks started off slow allowing the the Cobras to get a 7-2 lead towards the end of the game. Going into the 5th inning and with a few technical difficulties, the Bucks sucked it up and came back to pull off the best comeback this season to beat the Cobras 9-7. Taylor Langan made a terrific hit to get on first, followed by Justin Rackly, who hit a triple to bring Taylor in. Coach Tony said that was the fastest he had ever seen Taylor run.

Jonathon Murray hit his first double of the season and he and Adam Ashby scored off the triple by Cameron Daughdrill. Josh Stovall hit two balls into the outfield for single and a double. Austin May hit a single and again played good consistent defense. David Ray executed a beautiful bunt play that totally caught the Cobras off guard. Brian Marsh played great defense as usual keeping the Bucks alive.

The bottom of the fifth, was a nail biter. All the Bucks needed to do was get three outs to win the game. The great pitching of Cameron and a great catch by Justin for the third out gave the Bucks the victory they deserved.

The Bucks missed Logan Cox and hope everything is alright.

Go Bucks, Let's get Meridianville Tuesday night and don't forget practice Monday from 7:00 to 9:00.

Ben.....Caleb Joseph Drafted To The Orioles

This is for Ben..... Caleb Joseph #17 Catcher of Libscomb University has been drafted by the Baltimore Orioles....

Red Sox and Rays Brawl

No one was hurt during the brawl between the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays, but it's fun to watch. It just goes to show how our kids are more grown up than most grown ups. One thing for sure, the batter and pitcher do not need to give up their baseball career for boxing....Ha!

Mt Carmel Park Curse Haunts The Bucks!!!

Well Mt. Carmel pulled out their little pack of Bucks VooDoo dolls and jinxed the boys again. The curse of Mt Carmel Park is still haunting the Bucks. With terrible officiating, bad calls and just plain bad luck the Bucks fall 7-0 in their first tournament game of the year. The boys played a whale of a game with good hitting, pitching, and defense. The Bucks had two amazing pick-offs at second base and Logan Cox caught a high pop fly in center field, but again the curse took over and bad calls were made in critical points of the game. The Videos have been uploaded to Bucks TV!

Ben May would like to hold an exorcism on the park this evening after practice to remove the curse on our boys before the game Saturday. Just a little humor there. Ben, a big thanks needs to go to you for your support through the season doing the job that many don't like doing...STATS! Thanks Brother May.

The Bucks next game is Saturday at 4:30 and I believe it is against our Arch Nemesis, Hazel Green. Let's keep it alive Bucks and take this to the end. There isn't a team we have played that we can't beat. We are so proud of you. GO BUCKS!!!

Inspiration For The Tournament!

I want all the kids to see this video before we go into our tournament. This is the heart all the guys need to play with. This kid is an inspiration not only to to the boys but to the parents as well.

Party At The Murrays!!!!

After the Bucks two victories against Blue Water, Jonathon Murray's family invited the team over for a Water Slide and cookout party. The food was great, with Ribs, hotdogs, pasta salads, potato salads, chips, drinks and wonderful deserts! The Boys and their sisters had a great time playing on the slide and in the sprinklers. Wouldn't you know it... a game of kick ball breaks out and the competition was fierce. Coach Steven (Da' Prince) was still in coaching mode and barking out push-ups to the players that missed the ball. Coach Tony inflicted pain on Josh his sunburned catcher with a throw to first and Josh's mom goes after Coach Tony to inflict some pain on him...It was Hazel Green all over again.... HA! The BBB's were in their element sitting under the tent watching the game of kick ball and screaming at the coaches.....

Enjoy this little clip of the party!

THE BUCKS WIN! THE BUCKS WIN!

The Bucks were on their game Saturday as they win both games in the Doubleheader against the Blue Water Bad News Bears. In the first game, the Bucks Defense was awesome, picking players off and throwing good pitches to the bases. The hitting has improved with many of the players getting singles and doubles. Justin Rackley, #33, hit an infield homerun bringing two other runs in. Taylor's, Brian's and Justin's pitching was terrific as we held the Bears to 5 runs in our 11-5 victory.

Games 2 started off with the Bucks on fire again with 4 runs scored the first inning and holding the Bears to 1 run. The second inning the Bucks scored 5 runs and again held the Bears to a single run in a 9-2 victory. All Bucks scored a run in a rare event that we hope happens many times during the Tourney.

The Bucks are getting ready to head into the tournament to be held at Mt. Carmel. Coming off the two wins the Bucks are confident they can beat the first team. Practice begins tonight from 7:00 to 9:00. When I receive the practice and game schedules I will post them on the blog.

Sorry about not having any video, we were short a coach and I filled in.

Go Bucks!!!

Bucks Can't Tame the Tigers and the Wildcats

The Bucks played hard to tame the cats, but the cats were too much. The Bucks are still looking for their first win of the season and to get out of this slump . The Boys played hard but it wasn't enough. Mr. Cameron Daughdrill scored the Bucks only point against the Mt. Carmel Wildcats. His speed proved to much for their defense. Justin Rackley pulled off a beautiful double play off a Wildcats pop fly. But the Bucks go down 11-1.

The Gurley game has been posted to Bucks TV! and is ready for your viewing. The game against Mt. Carmel....Well lets say technical difficulties (batteries) wreaked havoc and I didn't get much of the game.

I really think we can pull off the win, but we need to get all the boys to practice so they can work as a team. It makes it easier for the guys on gameday to be better prepared and play as a well oiled machine. What's the saying, "Practice makes perfect."

I consolidated these two games into one post because I have been really busy. I promise to stay on it a little better from now on.

Cool Video From Whiskey Falls and the Atlanta Braves!

I think everyone will enjoy this video whether your a Braves Fan or not... It's really cool!

Thought I forgot about you?.... Nah!

Sorry for the delay in writing this new post, but I have been really busy. Another game has passed since I last wrote and I guess we need to get caught back up. Well maybe I'll let the video's speak and I won't have to write so much. To summarize, we lost both games, but we are improving every game. The guys are really working hard at practice and it comes together a little too late in the games. It seems that our hitting is all we are really lacking. But I bet we get it together before the tourney's.

OK...I have posted the Bucks vs Mt Carmel May 9th game on Bucks TV! and I expect to have the Bucks vs Meridianville May 13 game posted tonight on Bucks TV!
I hope everyone is having a good time at the games....Let's keep up the team and GO BUCKS!!!

Explanation!!!

I would like to start off with an explanation of the comment I made to a parent that was overheard by another parent. I hope we are all partial to our own children, as every parent is. So when I made the comment (that I will not post) to this parent I was just talking from frustration. Well it seems to have offended another parent and for that I am sorry. But I will not take it back. Josh is my son and I am partial to him. I'm not the most eloquent speaker and the way the comment came out was not the way it was meant. Again to any parent I may have offended, I apologize. I also looked around and I'm pretty sure there were no players around when that comment was made because, Coach Tony was giving the kids their talk. I have tried in my writings on this blog to show no partiality to my son but to give the whole team its dues. I love every player on this team. They are all wonderful kids. I would in no way ever say anything about any player that would hurt their feelings. I hope with the amount of effort and time I put into this blog you can see that I really believe in this team, the kids and the coaches. I'm glad Josh is part of this team. He has made some wonderful friends and so have I.

To the parents that showed up for concession stand duties on the 5th, thanks for you help. I enjoyed talking with you all. Because of you parents our kids do not have to forfeit their first tourney game. I also would like to think the BBB's for all the support they give the team. You ladies are awesome! Lori, Jill wants me to thank you again for the sweet (sugar free tho) thing you did for her...

I will have the video posted on the Bucks TV tomorrow and a posting of the game.

Oh and to all the Mother's of our players... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Wash Out At Blue Water

Well, It looks like the rain did us in again. I don't know about the rest of you, but I sat and stared at the radar all day hoping for a break or sudden dry up. When the good Lord wants it to dry up, I'm sure it will, until then I guess we are knocking a big chunk out of the drought. But, I sure did want to see a good ole baseball game tonight.

I will be passing out a bio-sheet to all the parents that I would like for you to fill out. I want to get some information on the guys for the ball cards and I want to do a little "Getting To Know The Bucks" section on the blog. I'm thinking something like a video interview of each one. With questions like what they enjoy most about playing for the Bucks, and their favorite major league player. I'm thinking about 5 min interviews each to put on Bucks TV.

OK DON'T FORGET WE HAVE BASEBALL PRACTICE TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! PLEASE BE THERE! Like I said in the earlier blog.... Practice looked great Tuesday.... It's all coming together for our first big WIN!!!

Mother Nature Not Playing Nice

Bucks and Buck Fans....Keep your Fingers crossed and hope this line gets out of here by 2:00.  I'm ready to see some baseball action as I know the rest of you are also.

Tuesday's practice looked really good.  The boys were really on their game.  Let's hope we see some great defense tonight.

Hey we have some Domino's Cards left.  If you would like to purchase one see James Stovall.  The proceeds go to the team for the banquet and trophies.  It's a really good deal. So don't miss out and help the Bucks.

Lost Footage of the Bucks

I found a lost film of the Bucks I thought everyone would like to see.

Just kidding... this is from the movie "The Sandlot." I just thought the boys would think it was funny. We can't always be serious on the Buck's Blog. If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend renting it or buying it. I know Josh and I have watched it several times. I should be getting the May practice schedule from Coach Tony tonight. As soon as I get it I will post it on the blog. Also.....Tomorrow is concession stand duties. I also want to tell Bill Ray...he better get well and get back up to the field... We all miss you Bill!!! Dalton get that foot better...we need our lefty batter back.

I'll Blog with you soon,

-James

Jonathon Makes Big Hit, But Not Enough For The Bucks!

Jonathon "Babe Ruth" Murray cracked a line drive to first base to get his first RBI and we know it won't be his last. Adam Ashby stole two bases to get in scoring position and slides in to home to score the third run for the Bucks after Jonathon's hit. Several of the silent Bucks came too life last night and and made a big noise. Austin May worked his magic at second base. He did a great job backing up his team mates and picking up the loose baseballs during the plays. Cameron Daughdrill smacked two beautiful hits to the fence. One for a triple and the other for a double and he scored one run. Brian Marsh steals two bases after being being walked in the second inning. A wild pitch to the catcher and Brian scores.

But with all the great plays, Mt. Carmel is too much for the Bucks. Again, small mistakes by the Bucks keeps them from out of contention for the win. I know as well as all the rest of you Buck fans that the Bucks are a great team. The Bucks will pull it together, play great baseball and take it to them in the Tourney.

Just a little side note.... Did you see Cameron's sister's shiner.... Softballs are not very soft.... She is one tough little girl.

I created the first DVD of the Bucks this afternoon. I will be making a DVD of the game against Hazel Green also if anyone is interested in getting a copy. I created a new link to the "New Market Bucks" video channel. This is a site where you can go and watch the games in it's entirety. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Go Bucks!!

Bucks vs Hazel Green 4/25/08 Part 3

Well there you have it... It was an exciting game to say the least. I hope you and the kids got some enjoyment out of reliving the game. If you would like to get a DVD of this game just let me know. And I'll get a little better as the camera man as we move along in the season. Thanks and Go Bucks!!!

Apology

Jill and I would like to sincerely apologize for what occurred at the Hazel Green game and our actions. Our kids played a great game and deserve the recognition for doing such. Let's put the emphasis on how well the Bucks played and not on the actions of Jill, I or anyone else involved.

Josh's ear looks horrible, but he is going to be fine. We watched the footage and Josh is trying to catch the ball coming from 2nd base when the player running from third plows him from the side spinning Josh and the ball hits him square in the ear.

You may have noticed that we are showing this game as a tie instead of a 1 run game in favor of HG. That is because after watching the footage Tony will most likely protest the game. Again , we apologize to each and everyone of you.

Bucks Tie Hazel Green in Extra Innings 5-5

Hey Buck's fans!!!! Well Tuesday's game with Hazel Green was full of excitement... On the diamond and outside the fence. With the Bucks down two games they came to play ball.... and play some ball they did. The Bucks pulled out their secret weapon Brian Marsh as starting pitcher. Man has this kid got an arm. Brian was also all over the infield playing some great defense as well. But he wasn't the only one that showed up to play...the entire team played outstanding ball. The defense has really come together with beautiful throws to first from third by Taylor and an outstanding infield pop fly catch from Cameron. The outfield was on their toes as well stopping everything that came their way. Our closing pitcher Justin, really showed some maturity and closed the game out in extra innings with the Bucks and Hazel Green tied 5-5.

Hazel Green is no slouch ball team. These kids are well organized and known hitters.
But the Bucks would not be intimidated and held on to keep the game tied. As I watch these boys improve week after week I have to believe they are starting to get the confidence they lacked the first games of the season. The game day jitters are not such a distraction and the mistakes are fewer and fewer. We play Hazel Green again tonight and I know the Bucks can pull this one out.

We seem to have a shouting match going with the Hazel Green fans. So Buck's Bleacher Broads.... LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!!!... But let's be civil... we need you in the stands not in the parking lot with two county deputies hauling you off to jail... The BBB's are not the only ones that can make some noise... All Buck fans hoop and hollar for our boys tonight. Let's make Hazel Green think they're back in New Market. Go Bucks!!!!

E-mail Addresses and Fundraiser

Four Announcements I would like to make....
  1. I would like to get the email addresses of all the parents on the team so I can send out updates.
  2. We have started our fundraiser selling Dominos Pizza Cards for $10.00. Please support the Bucks by selling at least 10 cards. $9.00 of each card sold goes to the Bucks for new equipment, trophies, banquet and tournament fees.
  3. I finally got my Video Recorder, so now we can get some live action shots on the blog for your viewing enjoyment.
  4. I will have the results and write up for Tuesday night's game along with pics on the blog sometime tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a great time at last night's game....Looks like my Dad will be put on injured reserve after being hit with a foul ball last night.... Even though his ankle is swollen, black and blue... he is going to be alright... Go Bucks!

Big Game Tonight Bucks!!!

Alright Bucks, we are down two games. I know you guys have it in you to win. You are all terrific ball players. Standing around at practice last night, I saw something that I knew you could do.... HIT! The Bucks have some great hitters. Don't swing at junk tonight and listen to the coaches. Play great defense.... Mistakes got us in the last game and I've seen you guys at practice... You guys play great. Just keep your heads UP and IN the game. Go Bucks!!!! We are Proud of you!!

Bucks 4, Mt. Carmel 9

It was a beautiful afternoon for a game of baseball. I don't think we can say the same for the field...Man the field was ugly. The Bucks started off HOT with Cameron starting pitcher. 3 up, 3 down. Then our boys got hot with the bats hitting hard line drives inside the foul lines. The Bucks were shining and leading 4-0. The second inning, Mt. Carmel fights back with an unanswered five runs. The Bucks kept their head up and played great ball, but a few mistakes hurt the Bucks and they just couldn't get back in the game. You have to give credit to the Mt. Carmel team, they never gave up and came back with 4 more unanswered runs in the last two innings. The Bucks fought hard, but again mistakes kept the Bucks from catching up. No matter what the scores shows, the Bucks are improving and will win one soon. The day was beautiful, the crowd was in it and exciting, the coaches kept their cool, and the players had fun and played good baseball.

I want to apologize for being so vocal at the games. I guess I'm a pretty competitive person along with my wife and those other crazy broads sitting on the bleachers.... Love ya all Bleacher Broads.... HA! Sounds like we have a new name for our cheering section Coach Tony. The Bucks Bleacher Broads!!!! Has a nice ring doesn't it. Bill, Bring that boy to practice Monday. OK, seriously don't forget baseball practice Monday at 6:30 and the next game is Tuesday, 6:00 at New Market Field 1. I have also included some new pics from today's game so check out the Pics Links. Again you should tell by these pics, that I either need a better camera or somebody with a better camera to take some pics for me. Go Bucks!!!! Let's get'em Tuesday!!!

Team Trading Cards Anyone?

First, let me start off by saying consessions stand duties are not all that bad. I actually had a pretty good time. So parents that dread the idea.... It's not so bad. Jump in and volunteer. Ok, so to the question at hand... Team Trading Cards Anyone? I had this idea that I wanted to put in front of you. I would like to put together a set of baseball cards of our team to give the guys at the end of the season. Again, help in this matter is greatly appreciated. I'm going to check into the cost of having them color printed on cardboard stock just like real baseball cards. When I was a kid you could order trading cards of yourself. I thought we could take it one step further and give them there own set of the entire team and coaches. Here is a sample of what I am working on..... More information to come....
I'm having so much fun being a team parent, watching these kids play baseball, updating this blog, and getting to know all of you... the Fans! If you like the idea of the cards, please comment or shoot me an email at james_stovall@bellsouth.net. I would love to hear what you think!

Bucks vs Meridianville Pics

Well not so good news. I took some pics at the game last night and due to the poor quality of my camera.... well they just came out horrible. Please, if anyone has a camera that takes good night photos please bring it to the next night game so we can get some good stills. I will be getting a digital cam recorder soon and it will take great stills at night, but it will also take great video for me to post so you guys can watch highlights of the games over and over again. I will go ahead and post the photos I have from last nights game tomorrow and maybe you can make out who's who. I don't know about the rest of you fans, but I am having a great time watching our kids learn and play the game of baseball. Let's keep cheering on those Bucks! GO BUCKS!!!

Bucks Baseball DVD

Hey Buck Fans! I have a wonderful idea that I want to propose to the parents of the players. I would like to put a season DVD together with live action video, stills and music to give to the team at the end of the season and also provide extra copies to parents to give to relatives that could not attend. If you are like me, you have brothers and sisters, grandparents, uncles and aunts who live away and can't make it to the games. What a great way to share a little bit of Buck's Baseball with the ones you love. I have a Mac and some great DVD editing software and would contribute my time to making a great DVD for our kids to remember. Man, I wish they would have had the technology of today back when I played ball.

If anyone would like to join me in taking pictures and video please feel free. We need some of practices and games. I would like to interview each player and some of the fans to add a personal touch to the DVD. My email address is James_Stovall@Bellsouth.net if you have any questions. I would also like to get your email addresses so I can send out Buck's Blog updates. Thanks!!!!

Bucks Played Great Ball Despite 11-2 Loss

The Bucks played Meridianville tonight in the intense cold for their first game of the season. You could feel the excitement and nervousness in our boys or that could have been just their teeth chattering. Even though the Bucks lost 11-2 it was great to see the team in action. Taylor, was our starting pitcher and threw some real smoke to the plate the first two innings. Justin came in the 3rd and 4th innings to close out the game and he threw some terrific pitches as well. There were a few calls from Blue that did not go our way and you could really sense the frustration from the fans and the players. After Blue got the crowd settled down, he reversed one call and called Brian SAFE at home as the Meridianville catcher dropped the ball on the tag. But after all was said and done, the Bucks played great baseball and never got down. The Bucks played with a lot of heart tonight. Remember Bucks, we get to play these guys again.

WOW, can that David "The Flash" Ray run! He stole two bases and ran down a player at third from the outfield. Adam stole two bases but was hung out to dry on third as the Bucks struck out. Josh made two outs at home plate that truly made his father ecstatic (I'm his dad...shhhhhhhh).

I hope to get the stats from tonights game posted over the next few days as well as a few pics. Also, if anyone has a really good digital camera and would like to take some pics at the games for the website, I could really use the help. I've been using my daughter's camera and it doesn't have the best quality, especially at night. We will also be adding some video from the games shortly.

Please, don't forget we need five volunteer parents for Thursday nights practice for concessions.... It is the Bucks turn and it is from 5:30 to park closing.

Best Game Ever!!!

Check out this cool video of a Little League Game turned Major League. Great Story and fun for the kids to watch.

Practice Scheduled For Tuesday at 6:30

Buck's Practice has been rescheduled for Tuesday @ 6:30 at Sharon Johnston Park.

Click here for directions to Sharon Johnston Park

The ballfields are located at the back of the second entrance close to the lake.

2 Bucks Caught At "The Joe"

"Two Bucks" is the cost of a 2008 Huntsville Stars Program and half the cost of a large coke at Joe Davis Stadium. It is also what we caught trying out for the Stars Sunday. Huntsville Stars Manager Don Money said, "They are great baseball players, but maybe a little too young for all the travel to away games. Their mother's would really miss them!"

A couple of our Bucks, Logan and Josh bumped into each other at the Stars Game Sunday. Every Sunday home game the Huntsville Stars let the kids play catch on the field thirty minutes before the game. Josh and Logan had a great time throwing the baseball, getting autographs and watching the Stars win 1-0 against the Mississippi Braves. The Stars are 4-0 in regular season and first in their division. Go Bucks and Go Stars!!!!!

Bucks 0, Mother Nature 3

What a beginning to the season.... Old Mother Nature is laying a whoopin on the Bucks. The Bucks had to cancel their game on Opening Day much to the chagrin of many of the players and coaches. Then the scrimmage against Central last Thursday was canceled due to the rain and wet conditions on good old field Numero Uno. And now, our first game of the season has been canceled, because, well again, Mother Nature just can't stand to lose, especially to Coach Tony.

Hold your heads up Bucks...We'll get to play soon. I talked with Tony tonight and he is trying to get another scrimmage setup with Central so we can get some good practice in before our next game. Oh, and we will play a make-up game against Meridianville towards the end of the season... We'll get all 12 regular season games in.

I hope to give you some news soon about fund raising or sponsorships for New Market Recreational Center. I played at this field when I was a kid as many others have and there are things we can do to make the park better for our children and others. Some of the items we are looking at are Tarps for the fields, for days like today so we can put something on the scoreboard against Mother Nature. :) Again, that is coming soon. Hope to see everyone at our next practice!!!

Practice and Game Schedules

Bucks Practice and Game schedules were handed out at Monday night's practice. For your convenience I have included those schedules on our Blog. The Bucks had a great practice Monday night. The guys were really hitting the balls and making some great defensive plays. I talked with Coach Tony after the practice and he felt it was the best practice we have had so far. Coach Tony and Coach Steve are on a business trip Tuesday and will return on Wednesday. Practice will be this Thursday 7:00 - 9:00. We also need to have five parents on Thursday April 17th and five parents on Monday May 5th to work concessions. Both dates the times will be 5:30 to close. Let's go ahead and get our volunteers scheduled so we can get our list together. Thanks!

Opening Day!!!!

Opening Day at New Market started out cold and wet for the Bucks, and all it did was get colder and wetter. But the cold and rain would not stop the festivities. We were honored to have the Buckhorn Jr. ROTC carry the flags during the Star Spangled Banner.

The Bucks were introduced and walked the diamond in front of a excited crowd of family, friends and fans. The boys looked great in their blue and gold uniforms. Coach Tony wanted the Bucks to start warming up for their 11:00 game, so the guys start loosening up their arms, when the bottom dropped out. The rain drops were the size of baseballs. The Bucks were a little upset being deprived of there game, but some of them went on to have a good time playing the games the New Market Rec had setup.
